simple asked:
WTF???????????????????????
why is 85 BILLION dollars going to an insurance agency? when there are schools that don’t even have AC or updated books in this country?
According to C-Span, none of the bailouts have been approved by Congress – they haven’t even been voted on! ***?

Why are we sending Billions to other countries when we have to borrow from China at with interest, just to do so? First argue our money to any foreign country, such as Africa, Georgia, Iraq, etc.
He is not, Congress is!
Dodd and Reid gave it the thumbs up.
Thus, it must be a bad idea.
Oh, the insurance companies would have kicked people out of their houses by foreclosing on them. Bush and the Dems won’t. So, it’s a handout to people who took out the mortgages.
By the way, Bush has no authority to spend money without the approval of a DEM Congress — Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Obama, Hillary, Kennedy, etc.
Trying to make a last pitch.
FYI Bush doesn’t control the funds. Congress will pass the bill and add billions in pork barrel projects.
You can take that to the bank.
Because if AIG goes down, so can the whole economy. It is the domino effect and that means not a recession, but a depression.
He isn’t, any bailout has to be approved by Congress first.
Bush is not. read a history book or government book. it would give you the understanding of what powers the president has and what they don’t. he doesn’t have that power. which means it’s congress thats bailing them out.
Why is everything bushes fault? seriously people think about what you say before you say it, was gustav bushes fault too? Katrina? 9-11?
If you think it wrong, I agree. The problem is that if these mega corporations go south, it is in fact quite possible you will be paying 20 bucks for a loaf of bread.
This thing can snowball into a full blown depression. This is similar to what occurred in the mid 20’s.
yep and they got all their cash up front!! When they signed the loans and insurance papers money has already gone in and is gone now!
The rich take care of the rich. Bush and McSame are ALL rich and those of us who aren’t can go scratch and pay taxes to pay off the debt. Why do you think they support tax relief for the rich?
Big Fat-Cat republicans are heavily bought into these companies. By bailing them out, Bush is paying off his rich friends.
It’s the same republican scam Reagan did in the 1980’s – the SL Scam. McCain made LOTS of money on that as one of the Keating 5. (One wonders why he never talks about that.)
This present economic crash is just the same thing – the republican Fat Cats are ******* up the money!! Yum – tastes so good. And poor, stupid, trailer-trash republicans are voting for them. When it works, it’s SO SWEET!
The Federal Reserve is bailing these companys out, not Mr. Bush!
Bush can’t make that decision, congress does — that would be the democratic congress.
This started in 1999 when Clinton and the Democrat Congress repealed the 1933 Glass-Steagall Act. This Act prevented things like selling houses to people that could not afford them. Also. It is former Clinton administration people that were running Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. They paid themselves hundreds of millions in bonuses. Sen. Chris Dodd and Obama have received more money than any other political figures from Mac and Mae. Those that are blaming the Republicans, they voted against it.
He isn’t. The Democrat-led Congress is. (and the Federal Reserve board in the case of AIG)
As an aside since you bring it up, AC and books in your local school is not lawfully a Federal matter.
This has nothing to do with Bush, Congress, and Government in general.
The Federal Reserve and the major banking industries in charge of our economy are helping out one of their own to ensure that the game continues. Should the major foundations of our economic sector fall through with no bail out, the consequences will be a complete financial collapse for the poor and middle class. The main folks at AIG are not going to be homeless with or without the bail out that is for sure. They will simply pack up and bring their millions with them.
The Fed does not want the system to collapse completely because it would most likely mean an end to the monopoly the Banking system has on our currency, foreign policy, and sovereignty in general. So, they make money out of thin air to the dollars detriment to make sure the boat stays afloat.
It is a scam you and I would go to prison for.
This is something that is controlled by the Democrat controlled house.
Get some education and quit blaming Bush…if you had any knowledge of the economy other than what you are spoon fed you would understand Bush has very little to do with this.
Blame your big government!
can’t do it all by himself has set up removal of a lot of people including a democratic Congress and senators
WTF! are you kidding? If our financial markets fail which they are very close to doing you will be having your meals in a soup line. You don’t seem to bothered that we spend a billion a day in Iraq. You had better start thinking about taking care of the people in the USA. There are a lot of pensions and retirement funds tied to AIG let alone peoples life insurance.
