Is it better to sell back text books at the end of the semester or the beginning of a new semester?

Sunday, October 25th, 2009
Miss Tree asked:

I have many books to sell back, and I need the money for next semester’s books. Do you get more money when you sell them back at the end or the beginning? Or does it not matter?

I figured that a person would get less at the end of the semester because there would be many trying to get rid of their books. Opposed to the beginning of semesters where bookstores tend to hurt a bit more for sell-backs.

What review book should I get for AP Microeconomics?

Saturday, July 25th, 2009
AzĂșcar asked:

I was thinking about purchasing the one from princeton review, but I got their AP Calculus review book and it’s really a horrible book… so I’d rather just avoid them. It seems to me like they elaborate on the easiest concepts and leave the hardest one for you to figure out. Anyways, I’ve been looking through various questions and I’ve found that lots of people recommend either princeton’s, barron’s or 5 steps to a 5. What I’m looking for is lots of practice to refresh my memory, I find microeconomics to be quite easy, actually… I just need, as I said, to remember certain concepts.

So which book do you recommend?

Thank you very much! I’d really appreciate it if besides naming the book you could tell me what you liked about it :)

How to get into Oxford to study law

Bambi asked:

Please help!
It is my ambition to study law at Oxford University and has been for a while now. i achieved 7A*, 3As and a B at GCSE and have 4 As at A level. I also have an Open University module. I have had work experience in two solicitors offices and a placement at the magistrates court. I also read widely around the law in both areas of fiction ( John Grisham being my favourite) and non-fiction ( H.L.A. Hart on The Concept of Law is proving particularly inspirational). I may also be attending an Oxbridge applications access day.
However, i feel that this has all been said before and is the so called norm for law hopefulls in Oxford. What could i possibly do extra to show my passion and commitement to the subject of law?
Any help would be gratefuly recieved

P.s. any hints and tips on books or websites for LNAT preperation would also be a great help :)
